Where to start.? Worst experience ever! First of all, we never booked through the website, we were given the number by a friend that was staying there, so we communicated back and fourth through text messages, (so we were never warned about the No-refund policy) we spoke all day Sunday, and we were scedualed to check in the following day Monday at 3 pm, when we got there everyone was very nice, we checked out the room and though it was ok for our significant others but when they go there they didn't like it. ( not the hotels fault) well we called the office at 6, the lady said no refunds. (Which we were NEVER told about) and said we would have to go to the office in the morning. The guys weren't happy because of course they want their money back so they called the office upset. Any normal hotel would for one let the customer know about the no refund, and if you weren't satisfied offer some sort of compensation. The manager began by saying she wasn't informed we had a baby, (which the baby isn't even a year old) And that there was a no refund policy, the office itself never shows any signs of no refunds, and has no policy on the door stating the same thing. Office door says to call because staff is on campus and will meet at office but she refused to meet us cause the office was "closed". So we stayed at a different hotel for the night even though we paid the full week at the cottage and she refused to work with us that day. The next morning we show up before 11 am (checkout time) no ones there. We call 4 times, no answer, call again 20 minutes later and finally a response. She states she can not meet again today so we would have to pay for two full days even though we were not staying either night! Argued with me for 15 minutes then at the end of the conversation says since we didn't stay the night and the room doesn't need to be cleaned she can rent the room out today and we would still have to pay a full price of 105$! For a night we didn't stay! The lady yelled at me several times, I had to threaten and say I would have the cops come to the office since she wasn't willing to speak to me as an adult, and was forcing us to pay for two nights we never stayed! She showed up two hours later at 1 pm gave us our money and before handing it to us told us we were wrong for lying about the baby, (which we never lied, EVERY hotel we've ever stayed at doesn't consider a 10 month old a peson that really counts) so we just never mentioned her. We stayed respectful the whole time but if I was another person, things could have got really ugly with her having such a nasty attitude. I'll never recommend. The manager herself was the worst!

This place is amazing. We relocated to Florida to discover our new home water damaged and molded by an appliance failure. The got us a place to stay the day we contacted them!! They treated us like valued and important human beings and I will never be able to thank them enough!!! Let me repeat, PELICAN ISLAND COTTAGES ARE THE ABLSOLUTE BEST IN ALL OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA!!! I WILL LOVE THEM ALWAYS AND AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THEIR HONESTY AND INTEGRITY!!!!!
Do not ever confuse them with Pelican Landing across the street as I have dubbed that nightmare place Hagsville!!!!
good deal for surfers cottage slept 4 had 2 tvs and clubhouse to play free pool. perfect for our needs and cheap.
This place was great. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a month with our two dogs, and two cats. Leslie was very nice. There is a really cool fresh produce stand next door.
